Finally, I Don’t Have to be Ashamed When Ordering Food Delivery
Tim hurriedly picks up 2 six-pack bottles of sparkling water off the store shelves when he hears a thundering woman’s voice behind him. “Shame!” The nun thunders in a not-so-quiet voice. Hurrying to the checkout counter, he tries to lose her, but she finds him. “Shame!” she thunders again as the cash register goes beep beep.
With both hands carrying a dozen bottles of sparkling water, Tim runs out of the store with the nun hot on his heels. Bong! She rings a handheld bell. And quickly follow up with “Shame!”
Tim quickly paces down the road, but he can’t lose her.
It goes on and on. And now the crowd has joined in. “Shame! Shame!” They chant while angrily throwing vegetables and unwanted produce at Tim.
That’s the scene straight off a Sodastream commercial. Watch it below. It gave me the feels, because I’m Tim.
This commercial feels so real for me because I feel like Tim every time I carry or use a disposable container. Every time I forget to bring my canvas bags and I have no choice but to carry around a plastic bag, or when Grab Food delivers my tom yam with layers and layers of plastic packaging – I hear the nun shouting to me in my head,
“Shame! Shame! Shame!”
I wish I didn’t feel ashamed when I ordered takeout or delivery. I swear, that nun follows me everywhere. Thankfully there are now sustainable options for food vendors. With the rise of biodegradable packaging options, it’s now easier than ever to keep environmentally conscious customers happy.
Yes, biodegradable packaging are marginally more expensive, but they’re compostable and become plant food once you’re done with them. And wouldn’t it be nice to do really great business, while not worrying about the environmental impact of doing business? To know that – as your wallet gets fatter, you’re also ensuring that the world your children inherit is also getting healthier.
That’s why Smolpotato has partnered with @team.recycler to get you a discount code for sustainable packaging options. If you’re registered as a seller you would’ve received an email from us a week ago with the discount code. If you’re new or if you didn’t receive your discount code, reach out to us at email@example.com
Wouldn’t it be nice to do good business while being good caretakers of the environment?
They say you can’t change the world. But that’s not true, because just by changing the little things we do every day, cumulatively it makes a big difference to the people and the world around us.
Proclaims the nun as she sees you walking down the road with earth friendly packaging – as you smile to yourself knowing that you did one good deed today.
